Neutral Nursery

Designing a gender-neutral nursery is an exciting and thoughtful process. This nursery is a much anticipated, calm space that is welcoming for the baby. One of the key design features of this gender-neutral nursery is the use of a pale mint colour. The colour choice is refreshing and soothing providing a calming atmosphere for both  the baby and their parents.
We have added warmth and depth to the space by incorporating earthy tones into the design. The use of natural wood accents, such as the rocking chair, furniture and textiles creates a sense of grounding and comfort within the nursery.

Animal accessories play a significant role in the design of this room. They add a playful and whimsical touch to the space while also fostering a sense of connection to nature. As parents, we tend to find animals endearing and like to expose our children to the wonderful animal kingdom. Here we have added a straw lion accessory to the wall, alongside a stuffed felt elephant head and a rather tall giraffe!
To tie the design together, we painted the walls a pale mint colour on just the lower half of the wall. This adds a soft subtle touch of colour to the room. It allows for the upper walls to be painted in a more neutral colour to create a balanced and harmonious look overall.
